<br />Council Member Lakso indicated that has not been discussed at this time but may be if <br />the funding is lost through legislative action. <br /> <br />Council Member Lakso indicated that the recommendation was that the PEG fees should <br />be increased from $2.64 to $2.73 effective January 1, 2006. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra indicated that serving on the Cable Commission you get a good feel for the <br />services that they offer. <br /> <br />Council Member Lee asked if the part time employees would be hourly or monthly. <br /> <br />Council Member Lakso indicated that they are asking for no more than 42 hours per <br />month at $10 per hour. <br /> <br />Council Member Lakso indicated that interns and volunteers will still be taken but the <br />employees would allow them to schedule more efficiently. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lakso. seconded by Council Member Paar. to approve <br />the 2007 North Metro Telecommunications CommissionlMedia Center Proposed <br />Budeet. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />5. Proposed Ordinance Language Prohibiting Fishing Near Roadway <br /> <br />City Attorney Glaser indicated that he reviewed this matter and feels that the City can <br />resolve the problems by using the Loitering prohibition sections of the City Code. He <br />then said that signs will need to be installed to state that there is no loitering or fishing in <br />that location. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra asked what the fine would be. <br /> <br />City Attorney Glaser indicated that it would be a misdemeanor but, realistically, the fine <br />would be around $100.00. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar asked if the sign could be simple such as a fish with a line through <br />it to ensure that it is understood by all. <br /> <br />City Attorney Glaser indicated that the sign must say no loitering or fishing but the <br />suggested symbol could be added. <br /> <br />Council agreed to signs that read no loitering or fishing with a fish with a red circle and <br />line through it. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Paar. seconded by Council Member Terway. to <br />approve sil!Ds prohibitine loiterine and fishine on CSAH 14 in the areas discussed. <br />and to direct Staff to work with the County on appropriate placement of the sil!Ds <br /> <br />Page 5 of8 <br /> <br />1 <br />
