City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />December 11, 2019 <br />Council Member D. Love <br />Council Member Matt Montain <br />ABSENT: None. <br />STAFF: City Administrator Mark Statz <br />City Attorney Glaser <br />Finance Director Bruce DeJong <br />II.PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />III.APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />Mayor Paar provided an opportunity for others to add or delete any items. <br />Mayor Paar addressed the high school students in the audience and stated that whether the meeting <br />is completed or not, they would be released at 8:00 p.m. He suggested that they take notes on <br />basic topics and if they had questions they should ask. <br />ontain Donation under the Consent <br />Lawn & Turf Agreement to Mediation (Appointment of Council Member Attendee) under Old <br />Business. <br />Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member Love to Approve the <br />Agenda with the Above Stated Modifications. All in favor. Motion carried. <br />IV.APPOINTMENTS/PRESENTATIONS <br />1.None. <br />V.PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />1.Truth in Taxation <br />Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Koski to Open the <br />Truth in Taxation Public Hearing at 6:37 p.m. All in favor. Motion carried. <br />Finance Director DeJong stated that the City is required to hold a public hearing and receive <br />input from the public regardit and Tax Levy. He stated <br />that Anoka County will be spreading the <br />of the City. He stated that this is an increase of .45% from 2019. He also stated that the <br />City must balance their revenue with their expenditures of $2,710,633 as proposed by <br />Council. <br />Finance Director DeJong reviewed the major changes in expenditures and revenues for <br />2020, levy trends from 2014-2020 and stated that for a median home value of $263,250 the <br />estimated City taxes would be an increase of approximately $9.
