City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />January 8, 2020 <br /> <br />regarding a strategic plan for 2020 and the President, Jeff Hanzal would <br />be presenting to Council the EDA’s Strategic Plan at the next meeting. <br />iii. Emergency Police Governing Board Meeting – Council Member <br />Love stated that it was held on December 26, 2019 where they approved <br />the contracts for Sergeants, Officers and the Lieutenant. He stated that <br />it was anticipated that the Chief would be retirement shortly and they <br />are considering hiring a consultant for filling the position. <br /> <br />c. Koski <br /> <br />i. Planning & Zoning Commission – Council Member Koski stated that <br />a Public Hearing was held for a Memory Care Facility to be constructed <br />at 1825 Main Street next door to Center Mart and Apple Academy. He <br />stated that the facility would have 16 units. He stated that staff and the <br />Commission had concerns regarding the use of public safety services, <br />licensing, Interim Use Status versus Conditional Use Status and when <br />an Interim Use Permit should be modified to a Conditional Use Permit. <br />He felt that it was excellent discussion. <br /> <br />ii. Fire Steering Committee – Council Member Koski stated that their <br />next meeting was scheduled for January 16, 2020. <br /> <br />d. Montain <br /> <br />i. North Metro Telecommunications Commission – Council Member <br />Montain stated that their next meeting would be held on January 15, <br />2020. <br /> <br />e. Paar – <br /> <br />i. Police Governing Board – Mayor Paar stated that their next meeting <br />was scheduled for February 10, 2020. <br />ii. Other Mayoral Reports – <br /> <br />Mayor Paar reviewed the upcoming events schedule for the audience <br />and reminded them to get out and vote. He stated that all information is <br />on the City’s web site or Facebook. He stated that the Centerville Lions <br />fishing contest was coming up in February and interested individuals to <br />their Facebook for more information. <br /> <br />XI. ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Montain, seconded by Council Member Koski to Adjourn the <br />January 8, 2020 City Council Meeting at 8:44 p.m. All in favor.
