THE CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />ANOKA COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />ORDINANCE NO. XX <br /> <br />RELATIVE TO LOCATION AND SURFACING OF DRIVEWAYS AND <br />PERMITTED VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT IN RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS <br /> <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Centerville hereby ordains: <br /> <br />Section 1. That Section 156.06 DEFINITIONS shall be amended by adding two new definitions <br />to be placed in alphabetical order with the current definitions, as follows: <br /> <br />DRIVEWAY. A private access road, the use of which is limited to persons residing, <br />employed, or otherwise using or visiting the parcel of land on which it is located. <br />DRIVEWAY, PERMITTED. A driveway that is of the appropriate size, location, and <br />surface as regulated by this Chapter. <br />Section 2. That Section 156.06 DEFINITIONS shall be amended by revising the definition of <br />Impervious Surface as follows: <br /> <br />IMPERVIOUS SURFACE. Any artificial or natural ground cover that prevents the <br />penetration or infiltration of surface water. Any material that substantially reduces or <br />prevents the infiltration of stormwater into previously undeveloped land. IMPERVIOUS <br />SURFACE shall include graveled driveways and parking areas. <br />Section 3. That item (c) under Section 156.144(M)(1) shall be deleted, and the other lettered <br />items reordered to read as follows: <br /> <br />(M) Outside storage. All products, materials and equipment, except as specifically <br />provided in this chapter, shall be stored within permitted structures, except for the <br />following: <br /> <br />(1) Residential districts. <br />(a) Agricultural products, equipment and appurtenances owned by the <br />owner of the property and used on the property on which they are kept; <br />(b) All licensed and operational motor vehicles shall be parked on the <br />permitted driveway area. Any unlicensed, nonoperational vehicles <br />must be stored in an enclosed structure; <br />(c) A maximum of two of the following units may be stored outside of a <br />structure for more than 48 hours on any residential parcel, provided <br />DRAFT Page 1 of 4 <br /> <br />
