CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: <br />May 13, 2020 <br />Engineering/Public Works <br />VIII.1 <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />LaMotte Park Stormwater Irrigation System Expansion - Award of Bid <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />As part of our long term plan for stormwater management, the LaMotte Park Stormwater Reuse System will <br />need to be expanded to continue accommodating additional water quality credits from the Rice Creek <br />Watershed District. The expansion of this system will eliminate the need for the construction of other Best <br />Management Practices (BMPs), such as rain gardens or ponds to mitigate the additional impervious surface <br />from the city's downtown street reconstruction project and future redevelopment projects in the downtown. <br /> <br />Bids have been received and are in line with our engineer's estimate for the project.
