<br />City Newsletter <br />March 2020 <br /> <br />City Calendar City Council Retreat <br />The City Council held a retreat on Saturday, February 1, <br />from 8 AM to 1 PM at Hugo City Hall (Oneka Room). The <br />discussion revolved around overarching goals and high- <br />level thoughts on major issues facing the city. <br /> <br />Rebranding <br />The new city logo has been finalized. Staff will now present a <br />roll-out plan and budget to the city council for consideration in <br />the near future. <br /> <br />Elections <br />Thanks to all our election judges for the <br />help in our two recent days at the polls. <br />Your work in running an efficient and <br />fair election is what makes our <br />democracy a model for the world. <br /> <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br /> <br />Quad Area Chamber of Commerce <br />The chamber has organized a joint effort across several city <br />festivals for a business expo at each. Discounts are available <br />for businesses that sign up for multiple events. For Fete des <br />Lacs, the business expo will again be on Saturday, at <br />LaMotte Park. You can reserve a booth for your business at <br />https://www.quadareachamber.org/business-expo-fet-des- <br />lacs.html <br /> <br />Economic Development Authority (EDA) <br />EDA Revolving Loan and Grant Program <br />The EDA has a revolving loan and grant <br />program for businesses within the city to assist <br />with improvements to their buildings.
