PUBLIC WORKS <br />City Hall Renovation <br />Further discussion on the proposed City Hall Renovation project will be a part of an <br />upcoming Council workshop. The renovation project aims to update the interior of <br />the building, including improvements to the HVAC system, council chambers <br />audio/video system, energy efficiency and safety. <br /> <br />The public works department is looking for summer seasonal workers to help with street, <br />utility and park maintenance. Pay starts at $13.00/hr. Applications available at City Hall. <br />2020 Downtown Street and Utility Improvements <br />The city council has awarded the contract for the downtown street and utility <br />improvements. Construction will begin in early spring. The project includes adding <br />water main and reconstructing streets in the downtown area. This is the last of the <br />projects laid out in a 2003 Pavement Management Plan. <br /> <br />PUBLIC SAFETY <br />Centennial Lakes Police Department <br />Chief Retirement <br />At the last Governing Board Meeting, the Chief announced that he will retire this <br />spring. He has agreed to stay on through the hiring of his replacement. The board <br />accepted a proposal from Baker Tilly to complete a candidate search. <br /> <br />Centennial Fire District <br />Fire Steering Committee <br />At the last Fire Steering Committee, comparab <br />examined side by side with Centennial Fireee is looking to hire <br />a consultant to study how best to structure a department our size. <br />PARKS AND RECREATION <br />Thursday Night Main Street Market & <br />ve been organizing a Street Market on <br />Thursday nights, during the Bald Eagle Wate <br />of the event layout is shown below. Initial thoughts will be to attract food trucks, farmers <br />market vendors, artisans and craft sellers.
