CITY OF CENTERVILLE REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: May 27, 2020 Administration VII.4 TITLE OF ISSUE: 7th Rider to Agreement - St. Paul Regional Water Service - LaMotte Irrigation System Expansion BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: Attached, please find the 7th Rider to the City's agreement with the St. Paul Regional Water Service (SPRWS) along with the original agreement and subsequent riders. This rider to the agreement allows the city to install, maintain and operate a lawn irrigation system on the SPRWS property on Centerville Lake, across LaMotte Drive from LaMotte Park. The irrigation system would be fed through the city's stormwater reuse system in LaMotte Park. The expansion of this system will allow the city to pursue further stormwater treatment "credits" through the RCWD which can be used in place of traditional Best Management Practices (BMPs), like rain gardens, infiltration trenches and ponds. COST AND SOURCE(S) OF FUNDING: No cost for the agreement. Costs for system expansion project as a whole are $162k, w/city portion $33k. REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION: Motion to approve 7th Rider to Agreement with SPRWS.
