CITY OF CENTERVILLEREQUEST <br />FOR ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: RequestedMeetingDate: <br />June 3, 2020 <br />Parks <br />V.3 <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />Centennial Little League Use of LaMotte Park Fields <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />It appears that the Governor's Orders will allow Organized Youth Sports to resume practices, but not games <br />during Phase II (beginning June 1). Centennial Little League has submitted their COVID-19 Operations Plan <br />and is requesting use of the LaMotte Park Fields. Because of the limitations of social distancing, there will be <br />an increased need for fields, to keep practice groups small and spread out. Staff is recommending approval of <br />their request, with the understanding that they will submit a full schedule of practices, once they become <br />available. Additionally, we will ask that the league submit a new COVID-19 Operations Plan once game play <br />is allowed.
