CITY OF CENTERVILLEREQUEST <br />FOR ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: RequestedMeetingDate: <br />July 1, 2020 <br />Parks <br />V.1 <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />Music in the Park 2020 <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />The committee should discuss the logistics of the Music in the Park program for 2020 in light of the latest <br />governor's orders related to COVID-19. The governor's orders allow up to 250 people for "outdoor <br />entertainment and concerts" with social distancing practices in place. <br /> <br />We could begin the season on Tuesday, July 7. An 8 week schedule would have the last date on August 25. <br />Sunset on July 7 will be 9:01 PM; on August 25 it will be at 8:01 PM. Discussion points may include: <br />shortened season, earlier starts, adding Thursday dates to shorten season, but get more acts, etc. COVID-19 <br />precautions should also be discussed.
