CITY OF CENTERVILLEREQUEST <br />FOR ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: RequestedMeetingDate: <br />August 4, 2020 <br />Planning and Zoning <br />VI.2 <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />Ordinance Review-Ordinance #105, Second Series Relative to the Definition, Location and Width of Driveways <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />Attached, please find the text of the recently adopted Ordinance #105, Second Series. This ordinance amended <br />the allowed width and placement of driveways. Staff believes that we inadvertently disallowed the placement <br />of a driveway in the setbacks. Additionally, the language is a bit contradictory since one line requires a 5' <br />setback and the next requires them out of side yard setbacks which are 10' in all residential districts. Many <br />driveways in the city are located within setbacks.
