City of Centerville <br />Planning and Zoning Commission <br />July 7, 2020 <br /> <br /> <br />1. None <br /> <br />VI. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Driveway and Residential Parking Ordinance Revisions <br /> <br />Administrator Statz outlined the progress made to date, by the commission on this ordinance. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding various aspects of the ordinances. <br /> <br /> <br />Much discussion was had regarding the limitations on size, height and weight of allowed vehicles <br />as well as restrictions on commercial vehicles. <br /> <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding all aspects of the ordinances. In summary, the proposed code does <br />not allow a passenger vehicle to be parked anywhere except on the permitted driveway. It allows <br />up to 3 other items to be parked anywhere except in the front yard or right-of-way. <br /> <br />A discussion of temporary occupation of campers. Opinions were mixed. Options included <br />issuance of permits. <br /> <br />No formal action was taken. Specific code language revisions will be brought back to the <br />commission at an upcoming meeting. <br /> <br />VII. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Backyard Chicken Ordinance Review <br /> <br />number of hens allowed (perhaps moving from 4 to 6), extending the time limit for not having <br />chickens to allow winter breaks without needing to remove the coop, and allowing additional <br /> <br />There was general support for the proposed changes. <br /> <br />No formal action was taken.
