The draft Part II plan has been sent to surrounding jurisdictions for comment. A Public <br />Hearing on the Plan is scheduled for August. <br /> <br />Water Main Interconnect <br />t next week to complete the integration of <br /> <br />2020 Downtown Street and Utility Improvements <br />All utility work is now complete, with the exception of water services that are being <br />installed into homes. The street construction crew should be on site within a week or two <br />and will continue road building activities. Paving by Labor Day is looking quite possible. <br /> <br />PARKS AND RECREATION <br />Committee Vacancy <br />The parks committee has one open seat and <br />is looking for candidate. Please apply on <br />Application for <br />Committee Appointment <br /> <br />Music in the Park <br />Music in the Park has held several <br />performances and has been well attended. <br />Three more performances are lined up. <br /> <br />Accessibility Improvements <br />The Parks and Recreation Committee reviewed the findings <br />of an Accessibility Audit, performed by city staff on all city <br />parks. The audit revealed some minor deficiencies where <br />certain facilities lacked paved access routes, as required by <br />the Americans with Disability Act. Quotes to perform this <br />work are included in the agenda packet for this meeting. <br /> <br />Memorial Bench Donation <br />Mrs. Judy Hansen has donated funds for the installation of a <br />bench along a city trail in memory of her deceased husband. <br /> <br />Acorn Creek Park Improvements <br />The Parks and Recreation Committee reviewed final plans <br />for the proposed parking and trail improvements at Acorn <br />Creek Park (see left). <br /> <br />PUBLIC SAFETY <br />Night to Unite <br />Normally scheduled for the first week of August, a new <br />Night to Unite date has been set for October 6, 2020. <br /> <br /> <br />
