EDA RESOLUTION NO. 20-____ <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A BUSINESS ASSISTANCE GRANT PROGRAM <br />(CARES Act Funds) <br />WHEREAS, the federal government has provided COVID-19 relief funds in the form of a grant <br />to the State of Minnesota; and <br />WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota has apportioned these funds to local governments; and <br />WHEREAS, these funds may be used for reimbursement of city costs due to additional <br />expenditures directly related to COVID-19; and <br />WHEREAS, the funds may also be used to assist businesses negatively affected by COVID-19 <br />restrictions; and <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF CENTERVILLE, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF <br />MINNESOTA: <br />1. Elects to establish a Business Assistance Grant Program for COVID Relief with a <br />maximum of $10,000 per eligible business as presented in the attached document. <br />2.
