Connexus Energy recently announced a donation of $25,000 to the B4B program. <br /> <br />Anoka County Business Relief Grant Program <br />Anoka County has now announced their Business and Non-Profit Relief Grant Program. <br />The application window is August 24 thru September 3. It is anticipated that most if not <br />all qualified applicants will receive a grant. If the city decides to have a grant program as <br />well, it will accept the applications to this county program as an application to its program <br />as well. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />FINANCE <br />COVID-19 Relief Programs <br />The city has now received our federal funds for COVID-19 relief of $304,902. The funds <br />come to cities, through the CARES Act, offsetting expenses related to the pandemic. City <br />staff will be evaluating our expected expenses to determine what our total expenses may be <br />and if there is available funds for such things as a business relief program or to assist the <br />school district with their unreimbursed needs. Possible expenses include: <br /> <br /> Various direct expenses (hand sanitizer, PPE, remote work costs, etc.) <br /> Downtown Construction Contract Change Order for COVID shut-down <br /> Employee task diversion <br /> Police (our share of CLPD costs) <br /> Fire (our share of CFD costs) <br /> Election Sanitary Accommodations <br /> City Hall Renovation Project (portions related to employee and public health) <br /> School District Relief <br /> <br />The deadline for expending these funds is November 15, 2020. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
