CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br />MEETING MINUTES <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Recreation Committee held a <br />scheduled meeting on August 5, 2020 via Zoom Meeting (ID: 173 583 122). <br /> <br />Present: Committee Member Suzanne Seeley <br /> Committee Member Heidi Errickson-Grahek <br />Committee Member Chris Bettinger <br />Committee Member Kathy Freiermuth <br /> <br />Also Present: Tom Wilharber, Council Member <br /> Paul Palzer, City Staff <br /> Mark Statz, City Administrator/Engineer <br /> <br />Absent: Committee Chairman Kevin Waeghe <br /> Committee Member Brian Peterson <br />____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> Committee Member, Suzanne Seeley called the August 5, 2020 Meeting of the Parks & Recreation <br />Committee to order at 6:41 p.m. via Zoom. Results of the roll call are shown above. <br /> <br />II. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />By consensus of the committee members, there were no changes to the agenda and there was no motion <br />made. <br /> <br />III. AWARDS/PRESENTATIONS/APPEARANCES - None <br /> <br />IV. PUBLIC HEARINGS - None <br /> <br />V. UNFINISHED COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Music in the Park <br /> <br />The members of the Music in the Park committee have scheduled five Tuesday performances, beginning <br />on July 28, 2020 through August 25, 2020. There were approximate 40 people in attendance on July 28, <br />2020. It is unknown at this time what the attendance was for the August 4, 2020 performance. <br /> <br />2. Parking Lot Design at Acorn Creek <br /> <br />The committee members reviewed the formal drawing of the improvements to the new trail and the <br />addition of approximately 10 parking spaces at Acorn Creek Park. There are 2 spruce trees that will need <br />to be removed and discussed replacing them with pin oak trees which can grow up to 2 feet per year. The <br />trail would connect from the Old Mill Estates Development and tie into the existing trail. <br /> <br />
