City of Centerville <br />EDA Meeting Minutes <br />January 15, 2020 <br /> <br />1. Bills <br />a. Northland Securities <br />b. Anoka County Regional Economic Development <br />c. Payroll <br /> <br />The commission asked Executive Director Statz to review Norrhland’s billings to determine <br />whether or not they have exceeded their initial proposal amount. If so, the remaining billings, <br />should be left at the City Council for payment. <br /> <br />Motion by Commission Member Giovinazzo, seconded by Commission Member Love to <br />transfer these bills to the EDA. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />d. Chamber dues $150 Jeff Hanzal/Michael Giovinazzo <br /> <br />Item “d” was handled separately. Executive Director Statz explained that his membership in the <br />Quad Area Chamber of Commerce should be handled through the EDA, based on guidance from <br />the League of MN Cities. <br /> <br />Motion by Commission Member Hanzal, seconded by Commission Member Giovinnazo to <br />transfer this bill to the EDA. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Executive Director Statz stated that the city’s finance staff is working on separating the EDA’s <br />checking account from the city’s. <br /> <br />VI. REPORTS <br /> <br />1. Administrator’s Report <br /> <br />Administrator Statz fielded questions on his written report. <br /> <br />VII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Promotional Video <br /> <br />The draft of the video was reviewed and comments were taken from the commission as well as <br />those submitted by absent commission member Weatherhead. Those comments will be passed <br />on to the video producer for a final version. <br /> <br />No formal action taken. <br /> <br />2. Strategic Plan Discussion <br /> <br />The draft of the presentation on the strategic plan was reviewed and comments were taken from <br />the commission as well as those submitted by absent commission member Weatherhead.
