CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />REQUEST FOR ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: RequestedMeetingDate: <br />October 21, 2020 <br />EDA <br />VIII.2 <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />Accepting the Resignation of Mr. Michael Giovinazzo and Declaring a Vacancy on the Board <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />Mr. Giovinazzo has submitted his resignation from the EDA. He has been gracious enough to stay on board as <br />we navigated some tough waters, through COVID and has also agreed to remain on the board until a <br />replacement can be found. Therefore, staff is asking that his resignation be accepted, contingent upon a <br />replacement being identified and accepted by the board. This conditional acceptance will allow the EDA to <br />have its full compliment of members while the search process is completed. <br /> <br />We also ask that the EDA declare a vacancy and direct staff to advertise the position for all eligible applicants. <br />Staff is suggesting that applications be due by November 12, 2020.
