October 20, 2020 <br />Centerville Planning & Zoning Commission <br />Page 4 of 6 <br />Industrial Outside Storage, Draft Ordinance Amendments <br />WYOMING <br />Industrial district <br />Exterior storage is not listed as an accessory or conditional use in the Industrial district but <br />appears to be allowed if it meets the provisions below. <br /> <br />DIVISION 11. EXTERIOR STORAGE <br />Screening Requirements. <br />In all districts, all materials and equipment shall be stored within a building or be fully <br />screened so as not to be visible from adjoining properties. Exceptions to these <br />requirements are as follows: <br />(1) Agricultural equipment and materials intended to be used on the premises. <br />(2) Construction materials and equipment currently being used on the premises. <br />(3) Off street parking of passenger vehicles. <br />(4) Recreational equipment for use of residents of principal structure. <br />(5) Laundry drying equipment. <br />(6) Merchandise being displayed for sale. <br /> <br />In all districts, the City may require a conditional use permit for any exterior storage <br />if there exists a potential that such storage may be a hazard to the public health, <br />safety, convenience, morals, or has a depreciating effect upon nearby property <br />values, or impairs scenic views, or constitutes a threat to living amenities. <br /> <br />FOREST LAKE <br />I Industrial, BP Business Park, and B-3 Limited Industrial Business districts <br />153.330 MINIMUM STANDARDS FOR DESIGN: APPLICABLE TO ALL INDUSTRIAL DISTRICTS (I, BP) <br />AND THE B-3 DISTRICT. <br />(D) Exterior storage. All exterior storage of material and equipment related to, located <br />on, and used by any business shall be stored within a building or fully screened, as <br />required herein, so as not to be visible from streets, highways, or neighboring property, <br />with the exception of the following: <br />(1) Materials and equipment currently being used for construction on the premises; <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
