<br />Apartment Complex Concept Plan <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission was presented with a concept plan for a 3-story, 96- <br />thst <br />unit apartment complex sited on commercially zoned land between 20 and 21 Avenues, <br />north of Main Street. The project would require a Comprehensive Plan Amendment and <br />Rezoning. If the developer chooses to pursue these land use requests, a public hearing <br />would be scheduled to receive community input on the proposal. <br /> <br />th <br />Centerville Storage (20Ave. Mini Storage) <br />Building construction has begun. The trail along the county road has been patched. <br /> <br />Atlas Villas Memory Care Project (1825 Main Street) <br />A building permit has now been issued. Construction should begin soon. <br /> <br />Bay View Villas (Waterworks Site) <br />Sod has been laid on several lots, driveways to neighboring properties have been graded <br />and miscellaneous clean-up work continues. <br /> <br />7241 Main Street <br />The prospective developer of this property recently contacted the city to reengage in the <br />process of subdividing the property. We anticipate a sketch plan in the near future. <br /> <br />Block 7 Property <br />A prospective developer is in discussion with city staff on a high-density townhome <br />development of the site, which could include roughly 18 to 24 units on the 1.6-acre site. <br />Other potential developers have contacted the city with various proposals, from apartments to <br />single family homes. <br /> <br />Driveway and Parking Ordinance Review <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission continues to work diligently on issues related to what <br />and where certain vehicles can be parked on residential properties. Both the existing <br />ordinance and the one being contemplated by P&Z do not allow parking of any vehicles in <br />the front yard (not on the driveway). <br /> <br />Public Hearings Scheduled <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission held Public Hearings on ordinances related to: <br />Industrial District Outdoor Storage Requirements, Lawn Maintenance, Backyard Chickens <br />and B-2 Commercial Allowed Uses at their meeting on October 20, 2020 meeting. The <br />commission advanced suggested changes to each ordinance to the City Council for <br />consideration. <br /> <br />Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting Rescheduled <br />The regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission has been rescheduled to <br />November 10, due to election day. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
