CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />ANOKA COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE #1, SECOND SERIES <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, on March 8, 2006, Ordinance #1, Second Series, entitled <br />?AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE CENTERVILLE CODE OF ORDINANCES? was adopted <br />by the City Council of the City of Centerville, Minnesota. <br />NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that, because of the lengthy nature of Ordinance #1, Second <br />Series, the City Council has directed that a title and summary be prepared for publication pursuant to <br />Minn. Stat. 412.191, Subd 4. <br />NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that a complete, printed copy of Ordinance #1, Second Series <br />is available for inspection by any person during regular office hours at the office of the City Clerk, 1880 <br />Main Street, Centerville, MN. <br />NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the general purpose of the ordinance is to organize and <br />codify all ordinances of the city for ease of use and enforcement. A summary of the sections is as <br />follows: <br />Title 1. General Provisions <br />Discusses rules of interpretation, future ordinances, captions, definitions, <br />severability, references to other sections and offices, errors and omissions, official <br />time, ordinances repealed, amended, unaffected and supplement code, <br />preservation of penalties, offenses, rights and liabilities, copies of code, adoption <br />of statutes and rules by reference, administrative offenses and general penalties. <br />Title 3. Administration <br />Elections, Mayor and Council Members terms and salaries, Administrator, <br />personnel policies,Community Service Officer, Building Inspector and <br />establishing the Planning and Zoning Commission, Economic Development and <br />Parks and Recreation Committees and their by-laws. <br />Title 5. Public Works <br />Garbage/rubbish and both municipal and public utilities. <br />Title 7. Traffic Code <br />State traffic code adoption; parking and snowmobile regulations. <br />Title 9. General Regulations <br />Domestic and nondomestic animals; nuisances; burning; cleanup of clandestine <br />drug lab and chemical dump sites; parks and recreation; Peltier Lake; streets and <br />sidewalks; use of right-of-ways and sporting, athletic and music events. <br />Title 11. Business Regulations <br />Adult businesses; liquor regulations; pawnbrokers; peddlers, solicitors and <br />transient merchants; body piercing and painting; saunas and massage parlors; <br />tobacco sales and regulations; fireworks; rental housing; licensing refuse haulers; <br />licensing water and sewer service line installers and dances. <br />1 <br />
