Atlas Villas Memory Care <br />Project (1825 Main Street) <br />A building permit has now been <br />issued. Tree removal is <br />complete and erosion control <br />measures are in place. Grading <br />will begin next and construction <br />of the building should continue <br />through the winter. Artistic <br />renderings of the finished <br />facility were recently shared on <br />social media sites (see <br />right/below). <br /> <br />Driveway and Parking Ordinance Review <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission continues to work diligently on issues related to what <br />and where certain vehicles can be parked on residential properties. Both the existing <br />ordinance and the one being contemplated by P&Z do not allow parking of any vehicles in <br />the front yard (not on the driveway). <br /> <br />Public Hearings Scheduled <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission held Public Hearings on ordinances related to: <br />Industrial District Outdoor Storage Requirements, Lawn Maintenance, Backyard Chickens <br />and B-2 Commercial Allowed Uses at their meeting on October 20, 2020 meeting. The <br />commission advanced suggested changes to each ordinance to the City Council for <br />consideration. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
