CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: <br />January 27, 2021 <br />Administration <br />IX.2 <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />Establishing a City Loan and Grant Program <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />City staff has been in communication with Karen Skepper of the Anoka County Housing and Redevelopment <br />Authority (HRA) regarding a loan and grant program. The program was originally established as part of the <br />Centerville Economic Development Authority (EDA), but it has now been determined that the HRA requires <br />the grantee for their funds to be the City itself. <br /> <br />With this in mind, city staff recommends establishing the Revolving Loan and Grant Program as a City <br />program, with recommendations for awards coming from the EDA.
