(Chauncey Barett - Anoka County HRA) BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: At the end of December, staff encountered an error on the above stated account. This account is unique because it is a multi-family residence with one (1) water meter requiring a unique rate code in our utility billing system. In late 2017 (Nov./Dec.) the billing was modified to reflect our new rate tier(s) from a single-family residence multiplied by the number of apartments (16). During this entry, a decimal placement error was made. Upon researching the account, the error has been carried forward to date and a credit should be issued in the amount of $10,033.32 for overcharges. The error has been corrected to ensure accurate billing going forward. Staff has reviewed other accounts and found their billing structure to be accurate. COST AND SOURCE(S) OF FUNDING: Water Fund - 601 ($10,033.32) REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION: Motion to Issue Payment in the Amount of $10,033.32 to Great Lakes Management (Chauncey Barett-Anoka County HRA) for overcharges on Account #01-00004396-00-1.
