<br />Firefighters Wanted <br />The Centennial Fire District has immediate openings for the position of Firefighter/EMT. <br />to those who are able to respond within 5 <br />minutes to our fire stations. All training and equipment is provided. <br /> <br />More information can be found by going to our website at: <br />https://www.centennialfire.org/join-our-team <br /> <br />FINANCE <br /> <br />Bond Refunding <br />The city council will review bids, at their February 24 meeting, on a Bond Refunding that <br />could save the city an estimated $60 to 85,000 over the next 7 years. <br /> <br />COVID-19 Relief Programs <br />The city is closely monitoring the latest State and Federal relief packages to ensure we are <br />positioned to utilize funds as they become available. We continue to code our expenses <br />related to the pandemic separately from normal costs to make documenting our impacts easy. <br /> <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />Anoka County Business Relief Grant Program <br />The grant application period has now been closed. Applications are being evaluated and <br />applicants will be notified of their status by March 15, 2021. Priority is being given to <br />ich shut down bars, restaurants, fitness <br />outlets and the like on November 20, as well as those businesses that did not receive aid <br />through the CARES Act. <br /> <br />Minnesota Technology Corridor <br />The Excipio Data Center Feasibility Study will be presented at an educational seminar on <br />February 24, to various stakeholders in the Data Center industry focused on important <br />factors in data center site selection. This will help market the Centerville site to a targeted <br />audience of more than 100 participants currently signed up to attend.
