City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />December 9, 2020 <br />Water. He was also encouraged by the develope <br />chose a different developer the first time. Administrator Statz stated that the developer is also <br />st <br />interested in proposing an apartment complex on 21 Avenue, north of the bank. <br />Council Member Montain echoes others comments and feels that it fits better than previous <br />proposals. He asked Administrator Statz how tall the units would be. Mr. Statz stated that they <br />would be 2-story slab on grade with gabled roof, perhaps with a step up from garage entrance. <br />on height. Mr. Montain echoed snow removal concerns and <br />noted that the concept had cars parked on Centerville Road. Administrator Statz stated that many <br />of the issues would be outlined in a Homeow <br />be leaning in the direction of a private street due to density of driveways and the need for snow <br />hauling. Mr. Montain wondered about public safety issues such as whether or not the units would <br />need to be sprinkled. Administrator Statz believed that three or more connected units resulted in <br />the need for them to be sprinkled and understood them to be 1,850 square foot, 3-bedroom units. <br />Further discussion ensued with varying opinions on urban vs. suburban design concepts, <br />streetscaping, setbacks boulevard treatments and the like. <br /> <br />Mayor Love asked if there were other topics for which Mr. Statz was looking for feedback. <br />Administrator Statz did not have anything further unless the Council wanted to go line by line <br />through the IUP. <br />III.
