COVID-19 Relief Programs <br />Recently, the President signed into law the $1.9 Trillion American Recovery Plan, which <br />includes direct aid to cities. The current estimate of funds slated for Centerville is $455,747. <br />We continue to code our expenses related to the pandemic separately from normal costs to <br />make documenting our impacts easy. <br /> <br />PUBLIC WORKS/STREETS <br />City Hall Renovation <br />City Hall is now open M-F, 7:30 to 4:00 PM. In-person Council and Committee meetings <br />will begin in June. <br /> <br />Trucks for Sale <br />The city is selling two of its public works trucks. Details of the auction-style sale will <br /> or check our social media platforms and <br />sign up for our city-wide email list for more information. <br /> <br />STORMWATER/WETLAND <br />LaMotte Park Stormwater Reuse System Expansion <br />A start-up for the newly expanded system is schedule for next week. <br /> <br />SEWER AND WATER <br />Commercial Water Connection Fee Assistance <br /> businesses through the pandemic, a new program <br />was introduced, cutting connection fees for city water in half, through the end of 2021 for <br />commercial properties. If you own a commercial property in Centerville that is not currently <br />hooked to city water, and are interested in learning more, please call Administrator Statz at <br />651-792-7931. <br /> <br />Wellhead Protection Plan <br />llhead Protection Plan (Part II) will be up on <br />th <br />May 20. Once this review is complete, we will move to finalize the plan and will be <br />eligible for grant funds to seal wells for those who wish to do so. <br /> <br />2020 Downtown Street and Utility Improvements <br />Punch list work is underway and should be complete next week. Grass seed growth will <br />be evaluated in mid June and if there are bare spots, they will be reseeded. Please feel <br />free to water the areas where seed is growing.
