<br />February 26, 2020 <br />________________________________________________________________________ <br />ADMINISTRATION <br />City Council Retreat <br />The City Council held a retreat on Saturday, February 1, from 8 AM to 1 PM at Hugo <br />City Hall (Oneka Room). The discussion revolved around overarching goals and high- <br />level thoughts on major issues facing the city. <br />erville Elementary School Plat <br />The school has received some releases and is waiting on others. Once the school hears <br />from everyone, they will draw the plat accordingly and record it at the county. <br /> <br />Rebranding <br />The new logo has been finalized. Staff will now present a roll-out plan and budget to the <br />city council for consideration at <br /> <br />Presidential Primary <br />Presidential Nomination Primary, absentee/ear <br />. except for Saturday, February 29, 10:00 <br /> <br />Election Day for the primary is Tuesday, <br /> <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />Quad Area Chamber of Commerce <br />The chambers has organized a joint effort across several city festivals for a business expo <br />at each. Discounts are available for businesses that sign up for multiple events. For Fete <br />des Lacs, the business expo will again be on Saturday, at LaMotte Park. <br /> <br />Economic Development Authority (EDA) <br />EDA Revolving Loan and Grant Program <br />The EDA plans to do another round of solicitation for applicants in the spring, but we are <br />still actively accepting applications. <br />The project, awarded this fall at The Southern Rail has been delayed due to weather and <br />contractor availability. <br />Promotional Video <br />also been shared on social media and we are working to get it on other platforms. <br /> <br />
