1737 Main Street <br />A realty sign has now been placed on the site and Mr. Brass is free to market the site to <br />potential developers. <br /> <br />Interstate Blue Logo Sign Program <br />Businesses have now committed to participation in the Blue Sign program, including: <br /> <br /> Korner Express <br />Wiseguys Pizza <br />CenterMart <br /> <br />in the costs for the first year of having <br />the business logos placed on the blue signs on the interstate. Since there is no sign for our <br />exit, it may take several months to get the signs put up, due to a backlog of work and <br />material delays. <br /> <br />2021 Budget <br />The EDA discussed its preliminary 2021 Budget at its meeting on 8/19 and informally agreed <br />to request an increase in their annual allocation to help support ongoing programs, such as the <br />Blue Logo Sign Program and CenterStage as well as provide a small amount of capital to fund <br />some streetscaping elements like banners, etc. <br /> <br />Minnesota Technology Corridor <br />The Excipio Data Center Feasibility Study kicked off with an initial meeting on 8/25. <br />The meeting reviewed the scope and schedule for the project, which should take about 8 <br />weeks. The study is looking at the viability of a data cente <br />industrial zone and is being funded in partnership with Connexus Energy, Comcast and <br /> <br />Small Business Relief Grants (DEED) <br />Grant recipients are being notified, but a complete list of them is not yet available. <br /> <br />Quad Area Chamber of Commerce <br />Lunch & Learns <br />The Quad Area Chamber of Commerce hosted an in-person lunch <br />and learn event on September 1 at Running Aces Hotel. Billy <br />Hanisch shared his story of how his social media account turned a <br />simple act <br />of kindness into a booming <br />business that helped him get <br />through the COVID crisis. Hanisch <br />bakery had offered to bake cakes <br />for local graduates who were <br />missing out on graduation parties. <br />In a matter of days, he had dozens <br />of donors who wanted to pay for <br />cakes for graduates in their cities. <br /> <br />
