<br />Administrator/Engineer’s Report <br />April 25, 2018 <br />________________________________________________________________________ <br />ADMINISTRATION <br />Administrator Continuing Education Plan <br />I recently attended a League of MN Cities Insurance Trust (LMCIT) Loss Control <br />Workshop. Topics included fire protection class rating standards presented by the <br />Insurance Service Organization (ISO), Human Resources/Hiring Policies, Liability <br />Insurance issues and Information Technology security. <br />I have registered for the Minnesota County/City Managers Association conference, May <br />2-4, 2018. <br />Social Media Presence <br />The City’s Facebook page is live and we are beginning to promote it. We will continue <br />to ramp up our efforts to add content and utilize its potential. <br />2018 City Council Goals <br />th <br />Our goal setting meeting was held on February 28. The City’s goals have been outlined <br />as: <br />Succession Planning <br />Economic Development <br />Community Engagement <br />Staff Meetings <br />Our monthly staff meeting was held on April 12th. <br />STORMWATER/WETLAND <br />Local Water Plan <br />The Council-approved plan has now been submitted to the Rice Creek Watershed District <br />and Met Council, ahead of the deadline of June, 2018. <br />Storm Water Capital Improvement Plan and Rate Study <br />Upon submittal of the Local Water Plan, we will utilize some of the information <br />from that plan to formulate a rate study. The study will also need to pull <br />information from the City’s Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />
