<br />Administrator/Engineer’s Report <br />August 22,2018 <br />________________________________________________________________________ <br />ADMINISTRATION <br />Staff Meetings <br />th <br />Ourmonthly staffmeeting was held on August 9. <br />2019 Budget <br />Asecond budget workshop is scheduled for August 22, just prior to the regular City <br />Council meeting. <br />Centennial Public Schools <br />I met with Superintendent Deitz and we have agreed to several follow-up actions <br />regarding the elementary school plat, rain garden andother issues.He plans to attend the <br />September 12 City Council meeting to give us an update on the schools. <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT/PLANNING <br />Comp Plan <br />The city’s Comprehensive Plan was approvedby the City Counciland submitted to <br />surrounding jurisdictions for comment as well as the Met Council forpreliminary <br />comments.The Minnesota Department of Transportation and Anoka County Parks have <br />responded, saying they have no comments. Met Council has now submitted their <br />comments and our consultant is working to address them.The City of Lino Lakes <br />indicated their comments would be to us at the end of last week, but we have not yet seen <br />them. <br />Peltier Estates <br />Staff received a call from an attorney for the developer, working on finalizing <br />Homeowner’s Association Documents. We are hopeful this is a sign that the <br />development is moving forward towards construction. <br />Ruffridge Johnson <br />Construction is about half-way done with building and is on schedule. The last interior <br />floor has been poured in the Shop area and exterior aprons and sidewalks are scheduled <br />next. The first lift of paving should occur around the 20th of this month. Work continues <br />on final grading, weather permitting. Interior office framing is almost complete and a <br />target date of October has been set for substantial completion. <br />Waterworks Site/DeFoe Property <br />After receiving preliminary plat approval, the developer is working on an enchanced <br />landscaping plan, further detailing the shoreline treatments, fencing and other common <br /> <br />
