COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />Comp Plan <br />Comments on our submitted plan have now been received from Met Council. City staff <br />and our consultant are working to address them. None of the comments appear to be <br />substantive. <br />Peltier Estates <br />No recent news. <br />Waterworks Site/DeFoe Property <br />Progress towards final approvals continues. <br />Old Mill Estates <br />Progress towards final approvals continues. <br />Block 7 Property <br />Staff and city consultants met with Trident Development this week and discussed the <br />major issues surrounding the development. Soil borings were authorized at the last City <br />Council meeting which will be a key part of determining the feasibility of underground <br />parking. Other elements of design and financing were discussed and follow-up actions <br />determined. The meeting was very positive and both parties are eager to dig in and find <br />solutions to the issues. <br /> <br />Commerce Drive Property <br />A purchase agreement has now been executed and staff intends to meet with Midwest <br />Best Water and their engineers to work out the details of the project. <br /> <br />th <br />20 Avenue Corridor Zoning <br />Further modifications to the zoning code and zoning map will be proposed at next <br />meeting, where a public hearing on the <br />changes will be held. <br /> <br />General <br /> Staff has handled a few complaints about junk equipment in yards or other <br />unsightly conditions. <br /> <br />The city attorney has submitted draft language for the new Conditional Use Permit to <br /> <br />
