Why the city chooses to only notify people within development area is obvious, less people less hassel. projects this size should be made aware to all residents not just those close by, even if you do what your required to do. You did the same thing with the additional docks on waterworks site, all the people on the lake should have been notified since we pay the taxes for lake property. the contractor knew he would come back for more docks after all was okayed and the council knew that as well. THE GAMES PEOPLE PLAY! Another Kiwik Trip within mile or two of each other especially when we have two gas stations in the area already. Remember these people have been paying taxes for a long time and should get more than just your consideration before approving Kwik Trip. Big box stores build then leave when enough money does not generate cost then what will you do with vacant gas station!!!!!!!!! you owe it to the existing gas stations to deny their building. if they did not already have one in Hugo I would say look closer but they do NOT need to build another one that close. Loyalty has lost it's way versus money. Senior housing, there is a need for this but I agree with all the addl traffic, the watermark development has already created more than the roads can handle. Luxury apartments, better define LUXURY before they are approved. Many times (and this has come up before) sect 8 has to be included and I rather doubt anyone that buys a LUXURY apartment would want sec 8 people living there. You need to make the public aware of LUXURY apts before proceeding. Remember CITY COUNCIL you work for the citizens not the developers or investors! 1
