CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: <br />June 9, 2021 <br />Administration <br />8.1.1 <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />Consideration of Appropriate Ending for City's Declaration of Emergency <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />Over a year ago, the city declared a peacetime emergency, enabling us to relax certain policies, ordinances and <br />other rules to allow mitigation of issues related to the pandemic. Some of those things include: waiver or <br />reduction of certain fees, relaxation of zoning code related to restaurants and bars, etc. Our declaration states <br />that it should not extend past the state's declaration, which is currently set to expire on June 14.
