CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: <br />June 23, 2021 <br />Planning and Zoning <br />WS 1 <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />Centra Homes - Block 7 - Final Layout and Materials Discsussion <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />Over the course of the last two months, City Staff and Centra Homes have engaged in design discussions, <br />resulting in multiple iterations of site layouts and conceptual elevations. The current layout and elevation <br />concepts were shared with the public during a neighborhood meeting on June 9. In general, much of the <br />feedback from the neighborhood centered around the desire to see less dense development of the site. The <br />current proposal of 27 units on 1.62 Acres equates to 16.7 units/acre. The site is zoned M-2, which requires <br />densities of between 12 and 30 units/acre. Staff is seeking direction as to whether or not to continue with the <br />current concept or make changes based on public input. If the council chooses to continue pursuing the current <br />concept plan, staff will present additional information regarding some design choices and their financial impact <br />(see attached information). <br />COST AND SOURCE(S) OF FUNDING: <br />$0 - $230,000; Sources to be determined <br />REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION: <br />Work Session item only.
