CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: <br />July 28, 2021 <br />Public Works/Engineering <br />WS 4 <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />DNR Severe Drought Warning Letter <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />The DNR has issued a severe drought warning letter to area water suppliers. This is part of the State's drought <br />action plan and it requests that water suppliers work to reduce water use. This is stage one, next would be an <br />Extreme drought warning letter and then an Exceptional drought warning letter. The DNR will provide weekly <br />updates on Thursdays as they monitor the situation. Centerville has in effect odd/even and hourly water <br />restrictions between 10am-6pm. This program meets the current DNR requirements and no further action is <br />currently necessary.
