CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION & COUNCIL MEETING <br />April 28, 2021 <br />6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville held their regularly scheduled City <br />Council Work Session & Council Meeting on April 28, 2021 via Zoom Videoconferencing at: <br />https://zoom.us/j/478824301, Meeting ID: 478 824 301 with audio only available at: 312-626- <br />6799. The meeting was also live streamed by North Metro TV. <br /> <br />COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Love called the meeting to order at 5:01 p.m. <br />ROLL CALL* <br />Not Approved <br />PRESENT: Mayor D. Love <br />Council Member Steve King <br />Council Member Russ Koski <br />Council Member Michelle Lakso (Arrived at 5:35 p.m.) <br />Council Member Darrin Mosher <br /> <br />ABSENT: None. <br /> <br />STAFF: City Administrator Mark Statz <br /> City Attorney Kurt Glaser <br /> Finance Director Bruce DeJong <br /> <br />d to mean that the noted individuals were visibly and audibly <br />present on the videoconference call. <br /> <br /> <br />II. AGENDA ITEMS <br />1. City Street Speed Limits <br /> <br />City Administrator Statz several other communities within the State have decreased the speed <br />limits within their communities to something less than 30 mpg on residential roadways. He stated <br />that legislation has changed to allow for Cities to regulate their roadways and he desired to obtain <br />input from Council. He did state that existing signage would need to be modified if it were <br />ed that he did not feel that being site specific <br />would be a good idea. <br /> <br />Consensus of Council was to leave the existing speed limits the way they are currently posted. <br /> <br />2. Consider Move of Garbage Day off Friday <br /> <br />Administrator Statz stated that he placed this item on the Council Work Session Agenda because <br />he recently received two (2) requests for modifying the garbage/recycling pickup day to something <br /> <br />
