CITY OF CENTERVILLE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION & COUNCIL MEETING April 28, 2021 6:30 p.m. Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville held their regularly scheduled City Council Work Session & Council Meeting on April 28, 2021 via Zoom Videoconferencing at: https://zoom.us/j/478824301, Meeting ID: 478 824 301 with audio only available at: 312-626- 6799. The meeting was also live streamed by North Metro TV. COUNCIL WORK SESSION I. CALL TO ORDER Mayor Love called the meeting to order at 5:01 p.m. ROLL CALL* Not Approved PRESENT: Mayor D. Love Council Member Steve King Council Member Russ Koski Council Member Michelle Lakso (Arrived at 5:35 p.m.) Council Member Darrin Mosher ABSENT: None. STAFF: City Administrator Mark Statz City Attorney Kurt Glaser Finance Director Bruce DeJong d to mean that the noted individuals were visibly and audibly present on the videoconference call. II. AGENDA ITEMS 1. City Street Speed Limits City Administrator Statz several other communities within the State have decreased the speed limits within their communities to something less than 30 mpg on residential roadways. He stated that legislation has changed to allow for Cities to regulate their roadways and he desired to obtain input from Council. He did state that existing signage would need to be modified if it were ed that he did not feel that being site specific would be a good idea. Consensus of Council was to leave the existing speed limits the way they are currently posted. 2. Consider Move of Garbage Day off Friday Administrator Statz stated that he placed this item on the Council Work Session Agenda because he recently received two (2) requests for modifying the garbage/recycling pickup day to something
