<br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br />MEETING MINUTES <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville’s Parks & Recreation Committee held a <br />scheduled meeting on July 7, 2021 in the Council Chambers at the Centerville City Hall. <br /> <br />Present: Committee Member Emem Akpan <br /> Committee Member Chris Bettinger <br /> Committee Member Heidi Errickson-Grahek <br /> Committee Member Kathy Freiermuth <br /> Committee Member Brian Peterson <br /> Committee Member Suzanne Seeley <br /> <br />Also Present: Mark Statz, City Administrator/Engineer <br /> Michelle Lakso, City Council Liaison <br />___________________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> Committee Member Errickson-Grahek, called the July 7, 2021 Meeting of the Parks & Recreation <br />Committee to order at 6.30 p.m., in the Council Chambers at the Centerville City Hall. <br /> <br />II. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion made by Committee Member Peterson, seconded by Committee Member Errickson- <br />Grahek to add number 3. Wild Parsnips concerns to VI. New Businessp. All in favor. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />III. APPEARANCES <br /> <br />1. Ms. Jessica Kubat – Candidate for vacant committee member position. <br /> <br /> Ms. Kubat was introduced and the Committee interviewed her. She has been a resident of Centerville <br />since August, 2020, has a very strong sense of civic duty and is very interested in being involved in the <br />community. She has been a R.N. for 12 years and has experience with effective communication, <br />identifying problems and analyzing solutions. <br /> <br /> Motion made by Committee Member Peterson, seconded by Committee Member Errickson- <br />Grahek to recommend to the City Council Appointment of Ms. Jessica Kubat to the Parks and <br />Recreation Committee. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />2. Mr. Pat Branch – see VIII Updates, 2.a. 5K/8K Runs <br /> <br />IV. PUBLIC HEARINGS – None <br /> <br />V.
