CITY OF CENTERVILLEREQUEST <br />FOR ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: RequestedMeetingDate: <br />September 7, 2021 <br />Planning and Zoning <br />VII.3 <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />Home-Based Auto Repair <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />Over the past few years, the city has dealt with a number of complaints related to home-based auto repair shops. <br />Many of the complaint items are addressed in the home-based business regulations (Chapter 156.102) or in the <br />Nuisance Ordinance (Chapter 91). However, other complaints are a bit harder to address with the current city <br />code. These might include frequent parking of multiple vehicles in the street (during legal parking hours), <br />increased activity in the neighborhood and additional cars in the driveway.
