TO: City Administrator Statz <br />FROM: City Clerk Bender <br />SUBJECT: Vehicle/Outside Storage <br />DATE: August 23, 2021 <br />Yard) Parking of licensed and operable vehicles, <br />paved driveways only. (Side Yard) Licensed and operable cars, <br />district). (Rear Yard on grass) Limited to recreational vehicles that are currently licensed and <br />oppers) and one passenger sized collector vehicle, as defined by <br />state statute. The collector vehicle must be licensed, appear operable, and screened from all <br />sides by six (6) foot high 100% opaque fence (fence permit is required). The collector vehicle <br />may not be stored in rear yard for more than two (2) years. All vehicles parked in rear yard must <br />meet required driveway setbacks. (Rear Yard on driveway) Passenger vehicle parking is <br />permitted in a rear yard if a paved driveway extends to a detached garage that serves as the sole <br />garage for the residence. Vehicles may not be stored off the paved surface. (Provided Diagram). <br />No vehicles in excess of 12,000 lbs. (GVW) are permitted in residential areas. <br />Vehicles and Equipment in Residential Zones. <br />Vehicles must be parked on an approved impervious surface but not within two feet of a side or <br />front property line. Parking vehicles on landscaped areas is prohibited. <br />in the front yard, provided it is kept on an <br />established driveway. Large Recreational Vehicles may be stored in the driveway and rear yard <br />no closer than five feet from rear lot line, five feet from side lot line and not located within a <br />drainage or utility easement. In case of a corner lot, large recreational equipment may be stored <br />on the side of an attached or detached garage adjacent to a public street, but shall be located at <br />ecreational equipment may be parked in the side <br />yard abutting an attached or detached garage, provided the area is surfaced with asphalt, <br />concrete, or crushed decorative rock. If area is all defined, not closer than five feet from side lot <br />line. If the surface is decorative crushed rock, the surface shall be no closer than one foot from <br />the side lot line.
