FINANCE <br />American Rescue Plan (ARP) <br />The city has received the first half of our funds through the American Rescue Plan. Staff and <br />Council are working on a plan for the allocation of these funds. <br /> <br />STORMWATER/WETLAND <br />LaMotte Park Stormwater Reuse System Expansion <br />With the larger rain events over the past few weeks, the pond has risen enough to turn the <br />irrigation system back on. The contractor has been working to finalize the project and adjust <br />spray heads and zoning configurations. A final pay request is anticipated at the next City <br />Council meeting. <br /> <br />SEWER AND WATER <br />Commercial Water Connection Fee Assistance <br />As part of the cityÓs ongoing effort to help businesses through the pandemic, a new program <br />was introduced, cutting connection fees for city water in half, through the end of 2021 for <br />commercial properties. If you own a commercial property in Centerville that is not currently <br />hooked to city water, and are interested in learning more, please call City Hall. <br /> <br />Wellhead Protection Plan <br />Now that our plan has been approved, one of our first implementation items will be to apply <br />for a grant to seal abandon wells. We have a list of those wishing to seal their wells already <br />established, but if you have one that youÓd like done, please let city hall know and we can <br />add you to the docket. <br /> <br />2020 Downtown Street and Utility Improvements <br />Paving and most punch list work is complete. Final payments will be processed soon. <br /> <br />PUBLIC SAFETY <br />Centennial Lakes Police Department <br /> <br />2022 Budget <br />The Police Governing Board and all three City <br />Councils have now approved the proposed 2022 <br />budget for the Centennial Lakes Police <br />Department. <br /> <br />Reserve Officer Positions <br />The Centennial Lakes Police Department has <br />had a successful program of reserve officers. <br />These employees allow our department to ramp <br />up in times of need without the expense of a <br />full-time employee. Our reserve officers plan <br />an important role in keeping our city safe. If <br />you know any one interested in joining the <br />force, please contact CLPD during normal <br />business hours. <br /> <br /> <br />
