City of Centerville <br />EDA Minutes <br /> August 18, 2021 <br />Executive Director Statz presented Check #1006, $158.42 (4Imprint Î Main Street Market bags, <br />Check #1007, $125 (Lonni Olson Design & Consulting Î Business Appreciation Postcard Design) <br />and Check #1008 (Image Printing Î Business Appreciation Printing). <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Weatherhead, seconded by Commissioner Remillard, to approve <br />the check list as presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br />2. Communications <br />a. Brew Pub Email <br />Executive Director Statz reviewed the status of this item and noted the brew pub is still interested <br />and are coming to take another tour. He also stated there are other interested parties, but noted they <br />are having difficulties due to zoning, so they are looking at creative ways to fill it as it is in the <br />best interest of the City to fill it sooner than later. <br /> <br />VI. REPORTS <br /> <br /> 1. AdministratorÓs Report <br /> <br />Executive Director Statz stated the Market was a great success and feedback was really positive. <br />He stated a purchase agreement has been approved for Block 7, Centra Homes project and is <br />moving forward. <br /> <br />Executive Director Statz stated the City has an odd/even water enforcement schedule at the <br />moment and will soon move to the next restrictive step per the DNRÓs notification. <br /> <br />2. Partner Agency Reports <br /> <br />a. Anoka County Regional Economic Development (ACRED) <br /> <br />Executive Director Statz stated he will be speaking at the meeting on September 9 which is from <br />8am Î 12pm and noted anyone is welcome to attend. <br /> <br />h <br />He stated the Upriver Real Estate Event is on October 2 at Running Aces Hotel. <br /> <br /> b. Quad Area Chamber of Commerce <br /> <br />Executive Director Statz stated they have been active in getting their lunch and learns going and <br />are working on Lino Lakes Festival. <br />c. Hugo Area Business Association <br />Executive Director Statz stated he has been attending these meetings and noted they recently had <br />a boating socialization event that went well. <br /> Page 2 of 4 <br /> <br />
