City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />July 26, 2006 <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that this was discussed previously and the proposal <br />is to hire Springsted to conduct a pay equity study. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Lakso, to approve <br />hiring Springsted to conduct a pay equity study in the amount of $2,500. All in <br />favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />4. Removal of Studebaker & Fire Cart/Tank from 1694 Sorel Street <br /> <br />Council and Staff discussed the Studebaker and agreed that it is not worth storing. <br /> <br />A resident in attendance recommended the City contact the Vulcans from St. Paul to see <br />if they would take it. <br /> <br />Council asked Staff to look into options for disposal of the vehicle. <br /> <br />Council agreed to keep the hose cart for sentimental purposes and asked Staff for a <br />recommendation on where it could be stored. <br /> <br />5. Resolution #06-036 Community Development Grant (DEED) <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lakso, seconded by Council Member Paar to approve <br />Resolution #06-036 Community Development Grant (DEED). All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar asked for clarification on the TIF part of this request. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson explained the TIF and costs associated. <br /> <br />6. T-Mobile Request to Amend Agreement for Antennas on Water Tower <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that T-Mobile has asked to rework the lease on the <br />water tower and proposed a reduced rent in exchange for a guarantee on the rent term. <br />He then said that the benefit of this would be a guaranteed income stream for 72 months <br />where in the current agreement they are only responsible for the current month’s rent. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated there is discussion on renewal terms and it looks like <br />they are trying to set up five renewal terms for a total of 25 years and the existing <br />contract runs out at 2016. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that they have proposed rent increases of 3% each <br />year and the old contract was the greater of 4% or the CPI. <br /> <br />Council Member Lee indicated he would be in favor of the five year term but not 25 <br />years. <br /> <br />Page 3 of 9 <br />
