Statz, City Administrator/City Engineer <br />From: Bruce DeJong, Finance Director <br /> <br />Item: American Recovery Plan Funding Options <br />Staff is looking forward to discussing uses of the American Recovery Plan (ARP) <br />funding that has been granted to Centerville. We will review the potential uses of that <br />money. <br />We received a grant of $423,479.72 which will be divided into two payments of <br />$211,739.86. The first was received in July and the remainder is supposed to be <br />distributed in July, 2022. We may potentially receive additional money from unclaimed <br />proceeds allocated to other Minnesota jurisdictions. <br /> <br />There are two ways to spend the funding. The first is on categories specifically identified <br />by the federal government in the legislation. Those categories include: <br /> Public Health and Economic Impacts <br />o Medical Care, PPE, Testing, and Isolation/Quarantine <br />o Assistance to Low Income Households, Small Businesses, and Non-Profits <br /> Premium Pay for Essential Workers <br /> Infrastructure <br />o Water, Sewer and Stormwater <br /> <br />We already have direct expenditures from the above categories. They total $21,899.64. <br /> PPE/Cleaning Supplies $ 485.27 <br /> Diverted Staff Time City $ 845.18 <br /> Alexandra House Contributions $ 1,883.00 <br /> Zoom $ 104.93 <br /> Water, Sewer, and Stormwater projects <br />o Catch Basin Repairs $15,815.00 <br /> EDA Programs <br />o Blue Logo Sign $ 4,649.26 <br /> <br />
