City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes & Closed Exec. <br />August 11, 2021 <br /> X. COUNCIL/ADMINISTRATOR ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />1. AdministratorÓs Report <br /> <br />Administrator Statz stated that he contained in the packet his report and that he would be <br />glad to answer questions regarding it if Council had any. He stated that he has been meeting <br />with developers regarding completion of their project without the CityÓs assistance in doing <br />so with use of their Letters of Credit (LOC). He stated that the deadline that they have <br />been given is Labor Date. <br /> <br />City Attorney Glaser stated that he was back in court for the first time since the courts were <br />shut down due to COVID. He stated that the courts are extremely backlogged but it was <br />very nice to see people and work through contentious cases. <br /> <br />Council Reports <br /> <br />a. Lakso - <br /> <br />i. Anoka County Fire Protection Council Î No report was given. <br />ii. Parks and Recreation Committee Î No report was given. <br /> <br />Administrator Statz reported that the Parks & Recreation Committee discussed Movie in <br />the Park, park maintenance and Main Street Market. He stated that additional discussion <br />was had regarding accessibility to play structures. Council Member Lakso stated that the <br />parking lot at Acorn Creek looks great. <br /> <br />b. Koski Î <br /> <br />i. Fire Steering Committee Î Council Member Koski stated that the next meeting <br />would take place on October 1, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. <br />ii. Planning & Zoning Commission Î Council Member Koski reported that the <br />Commission has been working on amendments to Ordinances (Outside Storage, <br />Home Occupation (automobile repair) and Bagsters/Temporary Dumpsters. He <br />also stated that the Commission swore in Commissioner Richard Nelson and <br />welcomed him to the Commission. <br /> <br />c. King Î <br /> <br />i. Economic Development Authority Î Council Member King reported that <br />committee scheduled a Business Appreciation Event for September 9, 2021 at <br />LaMotte Park and invited all businesses to attend. He also reported that at the <br />August 12, 2021 Main Street Market recyclable, logo bags would be available to <br />customers. <br /> <br />Council Member King asked about the Planning & Zoning Commission regarding outside <br />storage and why were additional meetings held again.
