<br />Proposal Timeline <br />Release RFP February 2, 2017 <br />Last date for questions February 15, 2017 by noon <br />Submission of proposals February 17, 2017 by 10 a.m. <br />Sub-Committee review February 17 - 28, 2017 <br />City Council Approve Contractor March 6, 2017 <br /> <br />Project Overview <br />The intent of this request is to obtain the services of a firm to design and construct a skate park, <br />hereinafter referred to as the Ð Contractor Ñ for the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, hereinafter <br />referred to as the Ð City.Ñ Services of a multi-disciplinary team with skate park design, <br />landscaping and construction experience is required to assist staff preparing plans for the <br />elements outlined in this proposal. Anticipated disciplines should include landscape architecture <br />and structural engineering. The city is seeking proposals for a Contractor to fully design and <br />construct a concrete skate park at Carpenter Park, 3001 Raleigh Avenue South in an amount not <br />to exceed $230,000. <br /> <br />Section 2 Project Description <br />The Contractor services to be performed are for design, equipment, and construction services for <br />the following: <br />1. Site plans for the Carpenter Skate Park. <br />2. Plans, specifications, schematic designs, construction documents and the actual <br />construction for the Carpenter Skate Park. There will be a city engineered storm water <br />project on this site underneath the skate park. The selected vendor will work with the city <br />engineering department on load requirements. <br />3. The project size will be approximately 9,000 square feet with concrete skate park design. <br />4. The design must include, but not necessarily be limited to, both ÐstreetÑ (e.g. flat <br />surfaces, stairs, rails) and ÐtransitionalÑ elements (e.g. curved surface, quarter pipes), <br />lighting and seating, and must accommodate skaters at a range of skill levels, from <br />beginners to advanced. <br />5. Construction cost estimates for the Carpenter Skate Park separated out into design costs <br />and construction costs, in an amount not to exceed $230,000. <br />6. The selected vendor will design and create the concrete skate park all as one structure. <br />7. The selected vendor must obtain all necessary permits from the St. Louis Park <br />Inspections Department. <br /> <br /> <br />
