City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />May 26, 2021 <br /> <br />1. None <br /> <br />V. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />Mayor Love read a preamble regarding the four (4) public hearings. <br /> <br />Administrator Statz recommended the City Council open all four (4) public hearings at the same <br />time using one motion. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member Moser, to Open the Public <br />Hearings. A roll-call vote was taken. Mayor Love and Council Members King, Koski, Lakso <br />& Mosher voted in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />1. Ordinance #113, Second Series Amendments to City Code Chapter 156 & Table <br />156.A-1 <br /> <br />2. Kwik Trip <br />a. Conditional Use Permit (Car Wash) <br /> <br />3. NorBella Senior Living <br />a. Rezoning (B-2 Main Street Commercial to B-1 Commercial) <br />b. Conditional Use Permit (Specialized Care Facility) <br /> <br />4. Belleville Landing Apartments <br />a. Comprehensive Plan Amendment (Commercial to Residential) <br />b. Rezoning (B-2 Main Street Commercial to R-3 High Density Residential) <br />c. Conditional Use Permit for a Planned Unit Development <br /> <br />Mayor Love opened it up to public comments. <br /> <br />Ms. Terri Robinson, 2106 ADA Street, thanked the City Council to allow the opportunity to speak. <br />She desired that the City Council respectfully request to think about how to better our community. <br />She stated this community needs more amenities, as this is what will drive profits. This may be <br />the last opportunity to bring developments to the community of Centerville <br /> <br />Mr. Jordan Qava, 2028 Diamond Lane, thanked the City Council for allowing him to speak. He <br />requested to consider the traffic increase due to the apartment building. He was also concerned <br />about exit 35E, and the County Road J. The addition of either of those exits should be considered <br />for traffic and safety issues <br /> <br />Mr. Brad Griffith, 2084 Willow Circle, is concerned with car wash-noise and the height of the <br />apartment building. He is a real estate agent and wants Centerville to do better. He suggested that <br />property value will decrease with a gas station and a 4-story apartment building development. <br /> <br />Mr. Richard Nelson, 7022 Centerville Road, Apt. # 108, stated he has been a resident for 5 years <br />and has been visiting family here for 20 years.
