<br /> <br />Centerville Bulletin <br />Volume 1, Issue 1 <br />Parks & Recreation Committee <br />Collaborative Efforts with Centennial Community Education <br />January, 2022 <br />Ms. Cori Sendle has met with the Committee on several occasions <br />regarding efforts for bringing additional opportunities to the local res- <br />idents, such as a Halloween Fun Run, Art in the Park, etc. Additional <br />event information will be forthcoming. <br />Economic Development Authority <br />Committee Re-Cap <br />The Committee remains focused on providing reduced price marketing opportunities <br />(Center Stage, Highway Signage, business water connections, COVID funding assis- <br />tance, etc.) These items were included in their 2022 Budget. <br /> <br />The Committee feels strongly in marketing and beautification of the city which will <br />allow for attracting new businesses also. <br /> <br />If you are a current Centerville business in need of assistance or know of a business <br />that desires to come to Centerville, please contact us at: info@centervillemn.com. <br />Planning & Zoning Commission <br />Commission Re-Cap <br />The Commission continues to work with new developers on plats, rezoning, etc. They <br />have continued to work hard on City Code amendments. A recent amendment is out- <br />side storage which includes parking of automobiles, campers, fish houses, etc. The <br /> BULLETIN <br />Commission has spent numerous hours researching all aspects contained in the current <br />and suggested amendments. <br />Welcoming Assistant City Administrator <br />The City of Centerville would like to welcome Ms. Ath- <br />anasia Lewis as its new Assistant City Administrator. <br />Ms. Lewis began her service for the City of Centerville <br />on January 1, 2022 as Assistant City Administrator. She <br />brings more than ten years of local government experi- <br />CENTERVILLE <br />ence with her. Previously, Athanasia held positions as <br />an administrator and as an assistant administrator. Atha- <br />you Informed <br />nasia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and a <br />Striving to Keep <br />Master of Public Administration from the University of <br />Tennessee. She recently completed the Basic Economic <br />Development program at the University of Wisconsin. <br /> <br />Council Members <br />Athanasia is passionate about public service and considers herself a servant leader. <br /> <br />Mayor D. Interviews were had and Mr. Danny Peterson, a Centerville resident <br />Council Member Darrin <br />and 11th grader at Centennial High School was appointed as the first ever <br />Mosher <br />Centerville Junior Council Member.
