City of Centerville <br />EDA Minutes <br /> September 15, 2021 <br /> <br />Finance Director DeJong provided an overview of the financials. <br /> <br />4. Ongoing Programs: <br /> <br /> a. Blue Logo Sign <br /> <br />President Hanzal stated there is nothing new to report. <br /> <br /> b. CenterStage <br />(i) Review of Eligibility Requirements <br /> <br />President Hanzal provided an update on this program. He stated Ms. Michelle Koch, Main Street <br />Marketers noted the Business Appreciation Event went well and she had a chance to connect with <br />businesses that have not taken advantage of the program. <br /> <br />c. Business Revolving Loan and Grant Program <br /> <br />President Hanzal stated there is nothing new to report. <br /> <br />d. COVID Relief Business Assistance Grant Programs <br /> <br />President Hanzal stated on September 20, 2021 at 10 a.m. the program opens for applications and <br />noted they expect it to be in high demand. He stated that everyone is encouraged to apply as soon <br />as possible. <br /> <br />VII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br /> 1. 1737 Main Street – Proposal for Site Readiness Tasks (Mike Brass) <br /> <br />Mr. Brass provided a presentation on the item along with an overview of the process for the <br />Proposal Site Readiness. <br /> <br />There was discussion regarding the process and projects that Mr. Brass has completed that have <br />similar to this one. <br /> <br />President Hanzal asked what the Civil Engineer does in this process. Mr. Brass stated he draws <br />the blueprints and provides a foundation for the builders. <br /> <br />Commissioner King asked if Mr. Brass if buyers he has worked with in the past, have been local <br />companies. Mr. Brass stated he believes they have mostly been local. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Weatherhead, seconded by Commissioner King, to authorize <br />execution of a contract with Titus Real Estate to complete the work-scope listed above.
