<br /> <br />tervi[[e <br /> <br />'L.'itabllsfi,:J 1&4); <br /> <br />1880 :Main Street, Centeroi[[e, :MW 55038 <br />651-429-3232 orP~651-429-8629 <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #06-041 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING SEPTEMBER 17-23, 2006 AS <br />CONSTITUTION WEEK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, our Founding Fathers, in order to secure the blessings of liberty for <br />themselves and their posterity, did ordain and establish a Constitution for the United <br />States; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is important that all citizens fully understand the provIsIons and <br />principles contained in the Constitution in order to effectively support, preserve and <br />defend against all enemies; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, September 17, 2006, marks the two hundred nineteenth anniversary of the <br />drafting of the Constitution of the United States of America by the Constitutional <br />Convention; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper to accord official recognition of this magnificent <br />document and its memorable anniversary; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the independence guaranteed to American citizens, whether by birth or <br />naturalization, should be celebrated during Constitution Week, September 17 through 23, <br />2006, as designated by proclamation of the President of the United States of America in <br />accordance with Public Law 915; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE, MINNESOTA THAT: <br /> <br />1.
